The Thoughtful Listener's Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
The relationship between the client and the certified active listener is confidential. The confidentiality of information shared during a listening session will be maintained and not disclosed without written consent from the client. The client must give consent for the legal parental guardian to obtain the confidential information.
Exceptions to the Confidentiality and Privacy Policy include:
Any suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, I am required by law to report to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If the client intends to harm him or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law to ensure their safety.
